| Our Facilitators |
|
It has been said that facilitators are born not made, and while there is truth in this, we firmly believe that through training, practice and experience superior skills emerge. We constantly reflect on and discuss our individual facilitation experiences to cross fertilise and share knowledge. This constant interaction provides the foundation of our learning organisation. Declan Tierney is a chartered quantity surveyor and has post graduate qualifications in project management and human resource development, but when it comes to facilitation, he is a true natural. A lot of his work undertaken by his team is centred on construction and infrastructure projects. Robyn Tierney holds a bachelor of science (psychology) from the University of Sydney and a masters in dispute resolution from UTS. Robyn has definitely inherited the "facilitation gene" and is a highly adept facilitator. Her team is involved in alternative dispute resolution as well as project reviews and strategy development. To manage peak workloads we have established alliances with other organisations / individuals whose business culture and approach to the delivery of collaborative services are totally aligned with those of TPK. We offer services, tailored to the needs of the individual client and the specifics of the subject matter involved. Under no circumstances do we adopt a "one size fits all" approach. |
Our facilitators are professionals who possess both formal qualifications and hands-on experience gained on infrastructure, construction, health, defence, commercial, marine and financial services projects in both the public and private sectors. TPK is run on a very "hands-on" basis by Declan Tierney, its founder and principal facilitator, and his daughter Robyn Tierney who holds the position of senior associate.
